Adobe Pet Hospital selected to examine "Mira," the very first cloned dog in US
An individual on the East Coast who was seriously considering having his beloved pet cloned selected the Adobe Pet Hospital to assist him in determining if cloning affected the health of the animal. He requested that Dr. Robert Stannard, founder of Adobe Pet Hospital, examine "Mira," the first cloned dog developed by BioArts International and report his findings.
Early this past December, Dr. Stannard arranged to meet, and examined, Mira at the BioArts International Corporate Offices in Mill Valley, California. At Dr. Stannard's request, a comprehensive blood panel was performed to assist him in determining Mira's health status.
Mira passed her physical examination and blood tests with flying colors and was determined to be a very healthy one-year-old dog with no obvious problems.
